CPA1 – FLUE GAS ANALYSER ASSESSMENT

CPA1 is an ACs assessment and training module for the knowledge and understanding of the combustion process. The module is a separate assessment and with the ever-changing legislation requirements to our Industry, it is a course that is essential to any professional heating engineer that wishes to commission or maintain modern day appliances.

BS 7967: Parts 1-4 outlines the permissible level of CO over a given period of time, the use of a flue gas analyser manufactured to BS 7927: 1998 states how to interpret the readings and how to understand CO/Co2 ratio when servicing an appliance.

BS 5871: Part 4 outlines the need for a combustion test to be carried out during maintenance or checks for safety. It also discusses that the above shall be in accordance with the appliance manufacturers instructions and in the absence of those instructions that you need to refer to BS 7967: Part 2.

Benchmark commissioning checklist requires cold-water inlet, hot water outlet temperatures, flow/return differential temperatures, operating pressures, CO/Co2 ratio.

We are able to offer the Anton Sprint V which can accommodate all of your requirements. Anton Sprint analysers are supplied complete with carry holdall, mains charger, rechargeable battery pack, 10,000ppm CO sensor, protective boot, flue probe, PC software and calibration certificate as standard. The Sprint V2 offers flue gas analysis (BS 5871:4 Benchmark), differential pressure (IGE/Up/1b, Benchmark), differential temperature (Benchmark), CO room-build up (BS 7967) & also has the option to gas escape detection probe.
